YES, as with all databases if they crash then a recovery is required to varying degrees.
This is especially true if you were in the middle of a transaction at the time.
There is a very strong chance that the uncommitted transaction may still be in the temporary work areas.
These must be cleared before proceeding otherwise data corruption can occur.
The procedure for recovering the database after a crash is as follows.
After you restart your PC you must restart GunBase and login as someone with admin privileges.
Go to the maintenance(F8) screen and select database tab and select Refresh Working Tables.
Read the warnings and execute only if you are complying with the warnings.
This is standard practice for a database crash.
Database recovery does need to be performed and we have simplified this by adding the Refresh Working Tables to the database tab in maintenance.
If you do not do this then there is a chance that duplicate entries can appear in your system.
These duplicate entries have no link to a customer and therefore the system does recognise them as valid entries and these cannot be removed from the system.
